Come on everybody. Thanksgiving is two weeks away. Do you make a plan how to prepare for cooking? We know that turkey and the side dishes are heavy with fats and sugar. Although there is nothing wrong with one day of indulgence, but it can helps to develop healthy habits if we learn moderation at festive meal. We can find ways to cut the calories on favorite dishes, or serve alternatives that are just as delicious.

All we need to plan is that roasting the turkey and have a repertoire of great side dishes and that won’t break the caloric bank and will blend tradion with nutrition. For example, green beans or asparagus vinaigrette is delicious and easy to prepare. Another choice is a light, colorful vegetable slaw.

Some preparation tips:

drink lots of water before and during dinner (feel fuller)

avoid too much of things that are just disastrously bad and limit them to a few spoonfuls (ie. whipped cream, pie crust, gravy, buttery-squares (nanaimo bars, etc), macaroni/potato salad, potato chips, nuts, skin/fat)

eat as much as you want of the not-so-disastrous stuff (turkey meat, squash, broccoli, salad, fruit salads)eat slowly!!!!!!!

avoid alcohol (i know, i know! it sucks! but you can do it! just think for every drink you don’t have you can have more dessert stuff)

Finally, Get a free gift with no cost or obligation. The gift is ebook – Secrets for Cooking like a Chef. Discovered!
