Rebound Pounds Really Annoy Us After One Week On Bistro MD!

Here I got an email from someone named Ted:

I started my Bistro MD diet almost 2 weeks ago. Last Thuesday, after one week on the diet, I found I had lost 8 lbs!! That’s really a miracle…But…all of a sudden…I weigh in today and I am back UP 5 lbs!!!!

In fact, I am strictly following the instruction and am eating everything that I am supposed to…but why did I gain??? I feel a bit discouraged. Do you have any advice??…

OK, it is certainly a bit discouraging that one day you find you gain up some pounds after couples of weeks on diet, especially you believe your diet is beginning to take effect.

As I mentioned I have been on diet for several months, and the exact same thing happened to me and my friends in the first few weeks. My first week I lost 7lbs the after that it slowed to about 2lbs a week. But a few weeks later I went about 2 weeks with no weight loss at all. And Yvette, one of my schoolmate, She lost 9 lbs the first week , then Nothing but gained back 4 lbs too. It was so discouraging as all of us were also doing everything right. You know when we don’t see the numbers move on the scale or we see them go up, it is so frustrated but don’t let it.

The reason why is because the large weight loss most people achieve in their first weeks on a plan is partially and partially. You do not lose 9-10 pounds of fat in one week. Mainly that big loss is water, less food being carried around in your digestive tract, and so forth. No one did anything wrong.

Rome was not built in a day. You should keep in mind that weight loss is a long-term process. It will start to go down again-a safe rate of weight loss after the “body shock” is 1/2 to 2 pounds per week. Keep working hard and weighing in once a week, it will definitely pay off. If you stay on the plan, you have to lose weight. That’s very important…Good luck!!
